A new Internet student room is now available to all FT students in room no. 546 in building U1. To access the room you only need your student identity card. The room is available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
Please accept our invitation to attend a seminar on the legal protection of intellectual property to be held at the University Institute at 1:30 pm on Wednesday 23 November 2011. Lectures will be given by Prof. Ing. Ladislav Jakl, CSc. and Ing. Karel Cada, Ph.D from the Metropolitan University Prague. The event is intended for researchers, Ph.D. students and everybody interested in this topic.

Since October 2010, the HE student league has been here for all those interested in squash, badminton and bowling. Over 70 players joined the league last season (February - May 2011). Would you like to join us?
Those who graduated in the autumn can obtain their degree certificates at the Student Affairs Office from Tuesday 11 October 2011 (during office hours only). Part-time Bachelor graduates can obtain the certificates on Friday 7 October 2011 (until 12:00 noon) and on other days during office hours.
Please note that Ing. Halaskova's office hours will be cancelled between Thursday 1 September and Friday September 2011 due to enrolment sessions to be held.

Please note that newly-enrolled 1st-year Bachelor and 1st-year Master students can now register selected winter-semester subjects available in the academic year 2011/2012. As it was not possible to pre-enrol for the winter semester 2011/2012 between 16 and 17 July 2011 due to system failure, the preliminary enrolment deadline has been extended until Sunday 31 July 2011.

The application submission deadline for the 6th annual contest to find the best Bachelor's or Master's thesis successfully defended in the field of information technology and information systems has been extended to Friday 15 July 2011. Detailed information, including the contest terms and conditions, is available in Czech on www.diplomovaprace.cz .

During its meeting held on 11 April 2011, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Technology at TBU in Zlin announced the election of the candidate to be appointed Dean of FT. The election will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday 16 May 2011.

Please accept our invitation to join the fourth annual Project Management Conference to be held at Tomas Bata University in Zlin on 13 - 14 April 2011. There will be no conference fee for students.
Key2be along with AIESEC Zlin have organized lectures that might help you out of a tight corner ;-) Their topics are as follows: How to Choose a Suitable Career and How to Be a Good Candidate. The first one will be held at U13/548 on 19 April 2011, starting at 5:30 pm. The other will take place at U13/548 on 3 May 2011, starting at 5:30 pm. Both the lectures will be given by Mr Vojtech Koren, HR Director at the Bata Company.
The Department of Food Biochemistry and Analysis at FT at TBU in Zlin and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra are plesead to invite you to attend an international scientific conference entitled PROTEINS 2011 to take place in Zlin on 3 and 4 May 2011. The conference will be held under the auspices of the TBU Rector Professor Petr Saha, while Professor Stanislav Kracmar will act as its expert guarantor.
The TBU Student Union is pleased to invite you to attend a lecture entitled "The Alchemy of Business Success or Why Some Win while Others Lose". The lecture will be held at Zlin's University Centre (U13 building), in lecture room no. 131, on Tuesday 12 April 2011, starting at 6:30 pm. It will be given by the well-known investor Michael Rostock-Poplar. He has built several successful businesses and we all probably know him as one of the investors involved in the TV programme called D-Day. Admission to the event is free.

The University Institute is pleased to invite you to attend a seminar entitled "Conditions for Research, Development and Innovation". It will be led by lecturers from the Technology Centre at the Academy of Sciences of the CR and will be aimed at innovation infrastructure (soft and hard), the current legal framework for the support within VaVaI, and funding possibilities available. The seminar will take place in the U11 building, room no. 317, on Wednesday 6 April 2011, starting at 10:00 am.
One of the most popular events of each summer semester is here again! On Tuesday 22 March 2011, starting at 9:00 pm, you will have a unique chance to show your true self and listen to some really good music. The event will take place at the Golem Club and the Flip Club.
Tuition provided at the independent units of the Faculty of Technology in Bzenec and Vsetin is scheduled to finish on 31 August 2011. No more students will be admitted to study at these independent units.
